mount ophir

after 4 days and 4 nights of intense physical exertion and unpeaceful sleep, im glad to say that that i survived!

and back to tell the tale.

night one: thursday night
i assembled at ang moi quee hq for a briefing and a nights rest.
nuthin interesting.

Day one: friday
we set off for gunung ledang (mount ophir). thats somewhere in msia for the unenlightened =)
we had a pit-stop somewhere in malaysia where i ate a ramli buurger
lol ramli burger. then we started gambling on the bus.

when we reached gunung ledang we were greeted by warrant(warren?) loh.
that dude has issues with his english man.
that chap make pck sosund like a frickin english professor of something

" be craful, the locks very slippy"

then we did some prep exercises
eg.
rock climbling
flying fox
obstacle course
team bonding activities

day 2 saturday

we scaled half the mountain
with a very heavy backpack
and a long long long and tiring route

then we settled at a campsite
then we- sji occupied the upper stream of the river
washing up
playing in the water
building a dam with rocks

haha let the others swim in our used water =p

then we gambled
i won $11.10
wongyboi you sad case =p

it rained heavily that night
the bloody mud tent flooded
luckily we managed to get rid of the water ;) didnt we wingyboi
we were soaked
my bag was soaked
my clothes were soaked

i ended up using the stove to keep myself warm

day 3

we climbed to the top
then went back down to the campsite
oh yeah, i paid wingyboi $11.10 to carry the harvesack back down

but not after we surmounted the KFC- killing field course
and this steep rock wall
and a huge swarm of bees

then it rained
then it stopped
our tent flooded

we decided that we needed to divert the water away from the tent
se we teamed up with the adjacent tent to ding a canal leading to the river
sji and acsi
hmm pretty neat team

then it rained again
then it stopped
our tent stopped flooding

day 4
we went down the mountain
had a bath
ate some lunch
went home

oh yeah we had to account for all the trach we took up
so at the end we had to let a ranger check our trash
that meant that we had to carry our trash down
uuurrrggh

also
all the only source of water was from the river
it was yellowish
with sediments in it
oh wells
when you're thirsty you're thirsty
at least we had purification tablets.


im just glad it over.
i needa maintain my position as top 1600 in coh man.
