sad truths

a friend of mine ;) shared his view on blogging today- his disdain of it. he said that it was like 'wearing your heart on your sleeve'. well, in light of increasing racist remarks and direct insults against our authorities posted on blogs, my friend does have a point there..

on the personal level, many post rumours, embarasing(albiet humourous) experiences that their friends have gone thru or insults. though posts like these do not irk the ire of the public in general, these remarks adversely affect relationships between the blogger and the 'victim'. even pictures of friends posted on their blog with no ill intention may add to the detriment of a relationship. well, it doesnt help that a blog is open to any and every one with an internet connection.

many bloggers, ive realised, also reveal a tad more of their personal life than they should. they assume that no one but their closest friends will view their posts. again, this misconception is dead wrong, literally.

imo,more and more bloggers are slowly afflicted with 'daylistiliorosis'. the sole symptom of this malady is when one begins to list every single mundane activity throughout his day in a bid to fill in the empty spaces of a blog. this results in viewers being painstakingly bored and iritable while scrolling through the long loooong looooooooooooong list. in serious cases, viewers may even overlook the infected blog while blog-surfing.


since this is a brand new blog and all, i shall lay certain groundrules and commitments:
1)i will try my very best to stray from the dark path of blog discrimination/ humiliation, ever. if i ever so do to anyone out there, i sincerely apologise right now in advance
2) i have also mentally vaccinated myself against daylistiliorosis and should not slide down that treacherous path
